How not to fall for a fake deal

  • Check the price history: some shops raise prices days before to advertise a big discount.
  • Always compare with the refurbished price: it's sometimes still much cheaper than the 'deal' on new.
  • Look at the seller, warranty and returns period, not just the price.
  • Be wary of deals that look too good on websites you don't know.

Deal on new or refurbished?

If the deal brings the new model close to the refurbished price, buy new: you get a brand-new battery and the full warranty. If the gap is still big, refurbished usually wins.
